What To Do
Many Natives and wildlife protectors have already thought up and tested ways to get rid of Mongooses that work but with more money resources and peoples time the job could get done a lot faster. They have done this through live traps, poison, predator proof fences, euthanasia, shooting, carbon dioxide poisoning, and more are being thought of often. Traps are the main way that they have been getting rid of the Mongooses, they have to be checked every day to fit in with laws. Here are some charts about the traps and how they have been used in past years.
These are all charts about trials for the DOC 250 which I believe would be the most humane way to get rid of the Mongoose and would work the most efficiently, although to fit with laws people would have to check the traps every day if enough people are invested in getting rid of the Mongoose because they are causing a big problem for the area and for species that are only found in the areas that they are invading then that wont be a problem and as far as money goes they can be used over and over agian and they have already been speanding $50 milion a year to fix damages so the more you control them the less money it will cost the area and the more to spend on species recovery for the animals that it has harmed.
